May 29th.

Blue moons… don’t exist on lunar cycle calendars do they?

I wish I could remember the fable I’d read some time ago about an ancient egyptian king that made the deal resulting in five day being added to the year.

Prior to this deal, the year was 364 days. 13 perfect months. 28 days each.

He made some deal with a dark entity or whatever to get his son back?

But then had to pay a day to the dark entity, rather than being honest he just added a day to the year and sparsed it out.

I don’t know.

Fables, fairytales, myths.

It’s funny how many of them seem to be the same story retold. Just with … different flavors.

Every culture has a hand-held meat pie of sorts.

I pulled the nine of cups this morning.

The moon is a waxing gibbous in Scorpio.

The story I spoke of this morning.. I misremembered a bit.

Nut the Sky Goddess was pregnant, however her grandfather Ra the Sun God was jealous of her so he forbade her from giving birth any day of the perfect 360 day 12 month ancient Egyptian calendar.

The big homie Thoth was in love with Nut and helped her out by playing a game of dice with the moon. He managed to win 1/72 of the moon’s light, adding 5 days to the calendar.

On these five days, Nut birthed Osiris, Isis, Seth, Nephthys, and Horus the elder.

Rolling them sevens.

Additionally…

Lunar cycle calendars don’t have blue moons. They just have seasonal drift.

I feel like… a little seasonal drift is more tolerable than being out of sync with the moon but what do I know.

Considering.. all these legends have someone doing something out of the sorts to gain the extra days, it seems like there’s a lesson to be learned.

Time is a weird thing. But I won’t get into that right now.

I have a song to share.
